This is just a note to self…and everyone else out there. When you have a hard time pulling the plastic case housing from a Mercedes rear view mirror and you see the image below, you might want to choose a different shop next time, Yes, what you see holding together this plastic was both windshield glue and double-sided sticky tape. FYI. If you find a trustworthy shop, stick with them!

 Removing-Corvette-Targa-Top-Front-Bolts  The first thing you need to do when doing a windshield replacement on an older corvette convertible is remove the targa top. This is done with loosening the front two torque bolts, not removing them. They are behind the sun visors.  The next step would be to locate the three bolts on each side of the rear, but only removing the center bolt entirely on each side.
